ever been over clocked or had a thermal shutdown or anything crazy like that?

Only one thermal shutdown. People had a computer repair shop give them a new heatsink, but they never tightly secured it. It is fully functional. I believe it only got to 100F. That's what the BIOS setting was when I last checked the computer.

do you know if both cores are working you can check that thru the task manger under the performance tab and can u verify yourself a little more?

yes, both cores are 100% fully functional and can handle prime95 tests without crashing
