The listing, Vintage Cameo Pendant has ended.

Beautiful cameo, very nice. Judge for yourself by the photos! I don't believe Victorian era but I do know it is at least 50 years old. 0 start bid to let everyone have some fun. If the bid goes higher than 40,000 then I will send a small gold chain with it. See last picture please. Live long and prosper.

What is the metal? Is it marked?

It has no markings that I can find. I've looked through 100's of photos and the woman that gave it to me traveled Europe but I cannot find one like it. I can tell by the roughness that the portrait is carved from shell. I would bet my reputation that it's gold though.
