The listing, Beautiful Mink Stole has ended.

This beautiful mink stole has been handed down from my now deceased grandmother. I wish my hair would shine like this does. You can see in the 3rd and 4th pictures that her initials are embroidered on one side and the other side is just the embroidered side. Each front panel has a pocket. 5th and 6th picture show the collar up and the collar down.
7th and 8th picture show where there is one little spot on the stole. I think one of the kids fell asleep with gum in their mouth, yick! The flash made this look like a light brown, but it is a rich dark fur. Anyway, I have to search and search for the spot every time I look at it. Can I guarantee that this is mink? No, I never questioned my grandmother about it. Even if it is not , it's a heck of a deal for a beautiful stole like this. Do they embroider initials in faux stoles? Anyway have fun bidding. The reason that I am giving this away is because I don't dress up enough to wear a stole. A fur jacket yes, but a stole no. Feel free to ask any questions. Have to ask for shipping on this one. I'll do tracking, but you might want insurance on it. Just a suggestion. Oh, heck since I'm giving it away, maybe you won't want insurance on it.

When you touch the fur does it feel like an animal or more artifical like arylic yarn?

Ha, that's funny. No it certainly does not feel like acrylic yarn. I'm sure it's mink. I grew up in Canada and have had several fur coats and fortunately (or not) in line for more. I say that because in Tx. not sure that I want more furs. My husband told me that the blow test is the only true way to tell a real fur! (how does he know?) He says that if you blow on the fur and see the skin, then it's real. Well hmm, I have seen the skin on this , because of searching for the "spot". Oh gosh, I love men and how they think. Well, if I go by my husband's theory , then for sure this is mink.

Your hubby's correct. :) Can you measure the measurement from armpit to armpit seams on the inside?

As far as size goes. Oh gosh forgive me for not saying. It's hard for me to tell. I wear a large in tops (14). I try to give measurements the best that I can. Hope this helps.
1. Shoulder to shoulder seam on top is about 14.5 inches.I just measure my shoulders for a choir gown (I'm 16.5 inches and the stole fits great in the shoulder area for me, so maybe I didn't measure it right)
2. Seam to seam at bottom back 27 inches
3. Back side seam to front edge is 20 inches (one front panel)
4. From neck seam (where collar is attached) to bottom front panels 30 inches
5. From neck seam (where collar is attached) to bottom back is 19 inches

This is really hard for me to measure as I'm not sure where to measure from or too. But like I said , I wear a large in tops (to much on top) and it fits me nicely. I buy size 12 to 14's in most of my clothing.

If I had to put a size to it I would say 14, I'm sorry I don't really know.

Well, thank you very much. It actually is very comfortable. It just feels good to wear it but living on a lake , our live is very casual and a slower. I'm lovin' it.

Where is the one little spot on the stole? It is on the front or side of stole. Please let me know...Thanks.

Spot is right front about where a corsage might be pinned. Really not noticeable unless looking hard for it.

If you can pull just a few hairs out of it and stick a match to it and it smells like burning hair it's real. If it balls up and smokes it's synthetic. Fanned and watching.

Well, I tried the match test and it is inconclusive to me. Here's what happened. The "fur" did not smoke. It did kind of curl or bead on the end but not in a bunch. I had about a nickel size (amount) of fur. My nose is not very sensitive so could not tell if it was the match or the "fur" smell. I'm sorry. Best I can suggest is do not bid if there is any doubt in your mind. I cannot guarantee that this is a true mink and I would not want to deceive any body. It's a beautiful coat either way. Wish I could be of more help.
