How long do they last?

I was told a year or more even. I've had mine so far only for a few months. They do pil as they get used, which is fine and is actually a good thing because it means they are working. There are different factors in to how long they last(how many loads you dry, how high of heat, etc) I dry on all levels of heat, more on low heat because the balls help keep air flow moving. I do about three loads a week. I hope this helps some!

Hi! Would I need to use 3 for them to be effective - or is 2 enough? Thanks! :)

Typical packs you buy have three smaller balls. These are about the size of a softball. I use two just like this and see great results. My dry time is cut, a load I usually put in for 60 mins takes 45. And I dry on low heat, for everything except towels. And I still don't need softener. "They" say the more you have the better. So two are enough, but more can yield better results.
