I hear you! I guess I could have chosen a better or should I say "cheaper" fascination. I just can't get enough of gems. I have learned to set stones I have a lot of them. I also wear 10 lbs of it everyday LOL I just love sparkle. My boyfriend doesn't understand, but I don't understand why he like to go into the woods, and shoot deer. So we decided to agree to disagree. Yes we eat it, so I don't feel bad. Not the gems........ahahahahaha the deerhahahahaha. OH bed time. thank you.

a lot of times they replace jump rings with whatever they have hanging around. No big deal if you ask me. It looks like a rough ruby. Not treated with all the heat and chemicals that some have. I have a pair of earrings like that that would really match that necklace...............ooooooooooooo nice nice auction. thanx

To my knowledge, it is real but it is not the clear high polished rubies that cost thousands of $. I don't think the place I bought it from could sell it as such if it was not real. The language in my description is taken from the site that I bought it from.
and I got it as such. It is beautiful and so I believe it must be some type of real ruby.

925 on the front of the bale,,,,925 Italy on the little oval piece by the clasp.Nothing wants to stick to my magnet except the ring clasp itselfwhich seems to pull toward magnet a little....maybe that has a little other metal in it for strength. May be my imagination but I'm doing my best and trying to describe as I see it. Not an expert here. But because of where this came from I have not doublts about it being a good piece.
