You could call this horse with the beautiful wings Pegasus, but it goes by the name "Dumortierite" since that is the name of the stone ..
Dumortierite is a bright blue, dark blue or greenish-blue mineral that is occasionally found in metamorphic rocks. It can be polished to a high luster and is one of just a few blue minerals that are hard enough to be used as a gemstone. This stone I mined in Mozambique (Africa). HE IS ABOUT 3-4 INCHES IN LENGTH.

I should be so good!!!! i do know a few of the people who do make them in big quantities, but i had never seen one made of this stone so i sent a few pounds of dumortierite to 3 of the people who do this for a living.... one of them made the very best of them all.... this is one... more of other animals to follow, hope they are as good as this turned out!
