I collect aprons. This one is fabulously romantic, with the girly florals. Awesome!

It reminds me of my grandmother. She was a little woman and her apron was bigger than her. She alsways wore a floral apron and a light gray dress.

I just saw your town on Treehouse Masters. What a coincidence to then search for an apron and it comes from the same place! Small world :)

I was hoping someone would see that episode of TREEHOUSE MASTERS and it would help put together how small our world really is......did you catch the part about the 425 people as the official population of Leakey? Thank you for mentioning you saw it.

I am awaiting cataract surgery so I couldn't read any fine print but I live in a town of 1,350 with 2 stop lights near the coast of NC, and my uncle lives in the mountains of NC in a small town called Hot Springs. They have a population of around 500. It gets busy in the summer when the "tree-huggers" as my aunt calls them, attempt to hike the 3,000+ mile Appalachian Trail. They go right thru the small town and there is an old man that will let them stay there, get a shower & hot meal if they in turn do 1 thing to help around the house. It works out for him and the smelly hikers (this is a 3 month hike from Georgia to Vermont) get a nice shower and meal. But I was at work showing pics of town because I stayed there every summer with my cousins as a child, and had just come back to Louisville from a family reunion. Well one of my co-workers who had hiked the trail the year before recognized the home she stayed in. They vacuumed, dusted & cleaned the kitchen in his home for him. I just love little coincidences like that! And the tree house the family in Leaky TX got was gorgeous!!! I would love to live in a tree house (yes I'm a tree hugger) I just have MS so I can't hike lol.

I love the pay it forward idea. That is sort of what they are doing for each other. Everyone talks about how bad our world has become, but i can see the REAL WORLD still helping each other. It is the ones in high offices who need to learn the concept of helping one's neighbor. But there are good people in the "higher ups" also. It just takes all of us doing the right thing to make our world better. I sure hope I'm making sense. I have some friends who go to the appalachians on mission each year. They love the people and just want to help anyway they cna.I think I understand their reasons. I would love to see the treehouse that was built here but it is on scared family land. People are pretty protective of their land here. /this is a tourist area as folks come to float down the frio river.

Speaking of pay it forward it happens even with the wealthy. I used to work full time at a physical therapy office and about 20-25 hours per week at Domino's as a delivery expert. I did that for 6 years even with MS but it finally got to the point I couldn't deliver so I had to stop on New Years Eve 2010. I had to stop the other job on Nov. 1st 2011. I was getting paid by my employer's short term disability MetLife (horrible awful company) but they would stop paying me for several weeks then pay me all at once. Well I got evicted for not paying rent on time. I called the owner of the Domino's I worked for. He owned 5 stores in Louisville and his brother owned 4. I said Tom I need to move back to NC with my dad but I just had back surgery in June and the MS has gotten worse. Do know of anyone who could help me move? I sold my truck yesterday to get $ for a U-Haul so I need to pack up the house and pack the truck. He said what day and time? I said Tuesday April 3rd at noon. He said don't worry about a thing. I wasn't sure if he was going to hire a moving company or what but on Tuesday morning I woke up, my friend who lived down the road picked me up to go get the truck and my other friend started packing up my house. When I pulled up to my street there were cars up the whole side of the road. I said What's going on? My friend who lived on the same street said I don't know?! I start to back the truck in and my yard had these hedges that blocked the front yard from the road. When I got out and walked around the truck in my yard stood ever single manager, asst manager, drivers and insiders from all 9 stores that were off that day and didn't have a second job. I was shocked and bawling from happiness.

I hugged each of them as they marched in the house. (My whole house was maybe 700 Sq. foot). At first some started making boxes, I had a huge stack but they were flat, once we got boxes going a group gathered in my room, the guest room the kitchen & the living room. I was going to help but they sat me in a chair and said you just point and say what goes and what is garbage. Once the house started filling up with boxes they extras formed a line and passed the boxes one to the next up to the truck, where within 1 hour they had my whole house refrigerator and all in the truck. Once they lowered the back of the truck and everyone hugged me goodbye the owner of my store Tom came up to me and said I was one of his best drivers for 6 years, I always came in to help if someone was out sick, so I think you deserve this, and he handed me $300.00 cash. It was so sweet of all of them. Most of the helpers I had only met once a year at the Christmas party. And it's a good thing he gave me that money because I had 900 miles to drive and a huge truck plus my little dog. We drove all night and got to my dads at 8am. I had used every dime I had for gas money. Including the $300.00. It was crazy. But I'll never forget the site of 40 domino's employees hiding behind the bushes in my yard to surprise me when before left!

Yes It happens all over"PAY IT FORWARD" is a concept we can all benefit from whether it be giftee or giver. I have been able to help people but I have been helped also. It surprised me the one time because I was really lonesome and tired and was eating in a strange town all alone. My waitress came to me and told me my meal had been paid for by a certain person. I don't know what or why but that was the time I NEEDED to be shown I was needed. Hang in my friend. God bless you.
