yes it works just wont play any disks. and to answer your question i borrowed the needed cords to turn it on

What you need to do is clean off the disc reader... If that don't work, take it apart and see if a wire or cable became disconnected

i did that and it still didnt work and when i took it apart it had minor rust to it but it was operational

LOL at his " if nobody will bid any higher then im taking it off listia" Sadly once it listed and bidding starts you either send it out like it says so in rules of quit listia cuz you will only get removed lol
