Questions & Comments
I love this but in picture 5 it shows scratches. how is that in perfect condition or is it a bad picture?
The question I was waiting for..... They are not scratches at all, it is the refraction of the light and the flash hitting at once... I debated putting it up. Give me a bit and if the snow stops, I'll snap a few outdoors :)
Thank you for a quick answer. I wouldn't have that picture up at all. take a look at my things too! I am putting up tomorrow a HUGE auction that will weigh about 30 pds of stuff.
I'll Be by as soon as I come off the mountain to check it out!! The reason I do like to put one pic that looks questionable is to see if people really are even looking through them... you pass with and A+++!!!!
limoge castel France made and decorated is the Google translation. castel is probably Castle. Limoges History
The Limoges porcelain avidly sought by collectors today was actually produced by a number of factories in the Limoges region of France from the late 1700s until around 1930. Production did not cease in 1930, however. This arbitrary cutoff date simply denotes a change in the global economy when styles notably changed from very elaborate to more basic in design.
At one point in the 1920s as many as 48 companies were producing wares marked Limoges, according to ceramics expert Mary Frank Gaston in The Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges. Hope this helps everyone understand what you are offering is very desirable.
I do know of the works of Frances Limoges History, and boy do I know castles! Spent many Summers with family in Koln Germany going through 100's of castles! I also am aware of the value of some of these pieces, as i have sold at private auctions their urns and pitchers...
I totally appreciate your input and knowledge stevenwalke rbeing in a hurry as I was and just wanting to get it listed before leaving. I also wanted to see just how many people would actually do the research on their own as we do, instead of asking... it amazes me how we all have all the info in the world sitting right in our hands and still people are too lazy to use it.
Okay... now it's time for my degrees to go to work. You see leahnflorida, I get to spend a very needed week as long as I am still breathing, up the canyon at the Sundance Film Fest staying at Bob Redford's ranch if I'm too tired to drive 2o minutes to my home. I am a stickler for research, explaining my degrees in Bio-chemistry, Science, and being in charge of the Hospital ER Lab for 25 years, with my Medical Laboratory Technology degree and PA, so yes I normally research the crud out of things.... Chemo kicks my butt and sometimes I turn off my brain and try to relax....
