Just some fun History for your auction, The penny pictured here was considered a decimal Penny or new Penny, and designed by artist Gabriel Hayes whose inspiration for the design was adapted from the Book of Kells. In 1990 the decision was made to produce the coin with a copper-plated steel base as the bronze was too expensive. The steel base coins are magnetic! All replaced now by the Euro since about 1999 unfortunately. -_- So these will only keep increasing in value as they become more desired collectors items.

The ones pictured were sold over a year ago. I use the photo as stated within the listing for demonstrative purposes only. The ones I'll pull from the bag are going to be whatever I reach in and pull out - I made sure to note that in the listing as well =)
