It has a strong bitter flavor so a little goes a long way. It is best used with other pungently strong items such as strong cheeses or garlic. I like to saute it with other mixed greens. Use about 10-20% chicory in your mix for best blend. Overall a great addition to your garden. Sow 1/8th inch deep about 8-10 inches apart. Can take some shade and has very nice blue flowers at the end of the season. Will winter over in most places. Root can regrow from deep soil if broken off or frozen at ground level. Not guaranteed but has been know to happen.
