Description

The listing, Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional has ended.

I have this item on hand and it is still in original wrapper. This item is designed for a *DELL* computer, whether you have a laptop or desktop.

It is updated to Service Pack 2 from Microsoft, but once installed and connected to the Internet, will download and install ALL available updates to include service packs 3 & 4.

The product key is embedded in the disk, as this came with a desktop system originally.

If you have an older PC around that won't run Windows 7 or Windows XP, this may be the ticket for you!

Free shipping.

This item is *NOT* a copy or a burnt disk. What you see is what you get. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

I am not 100% sure, but I think so.. atleast to get into DOS, you should be able to. I will double check and get back to you here in a bit. (Sam)

Here is what I was able to find in terms of using Windows 2000 as a Rescue disk:
Recovery Console & Safe Boot Resources : http://labmice.techtarget.com/troubleshooting/recoveryconsole.htm

I haven't actually used Win 2K in years, but I believe you can. Any version upto (and including) Win XP has DOS as a subsystem, so you should be able to access DOS from the command prompt. When the PC starts press F8 or F10 (depending on your computer). When a boot menu come up, choose DOS prompt or Command Line (or the like). If anyone else can offer any other help, that would be great. :)
