The listing, All type battery charger has ended.
Happy Holidays everyone This is a battery charger but not just any regular battery one that will charge all types of batteries (A AAA A B C etc..) This thing served me well and saved me a lot of money over the years but now since most of the electronics i have are lithium ion now i have no use for it. This will make the perfect accessory to go with that christmas present that uses batteries whether it be xbox controller camera or whatever.
Questions & Comments
Does it work ok? Will it take any brand of AA? (I use those a lot) Thanks in advance. Great item!
Yes it works tested it out yesterday. They work with any AA (regular batteries are called alkanine which are non rechargeable and the type of AA you would want to use with is either NiCd or NiMH. All of them are sold in any regular store)
I got it from a garage sale so im not the original owner so i don't know its actual age. Tested it out about 3-4 days ago Works very well. Can charge all as many batteries as there are slots. Very cool
Just for your info, the alkalines are rechargable. They just put a blocker in the newer chargers. I have a similar charger but an older model and it charges the alkalines just fine. You just have to becareful not to over charge them or they will leak. I give mine 4 or 5 hours max and that does the trick. The large companies just want to sell those more expensive batteries so they fixed it so the cheap batteries wouldn't recharge in the new chargers. Greed does it again.!!! ***** ants. I am talking about the companies>
yup you are right however it is not good for lazy people who like to charge their batteries overnight or go some where and just leave it charging. Yes greed is how money is made in this world. Thanks for the info though
Personally, for me, knowing the INJURY it can cause, it's NOT WORTH THE RISK of EXPLOSION to try to recharge alkaline batteries. That is just plain dangerous!! Stick to the NiCad or NiMH batteries which are designed to be recharged. They are a lot cheaper than a hospital bill!
thanks for helping to save the planet from our disposable culture! do they have special chargers for lithium batteries, or are they not rechargeable? just curious...
