Fanning plays Cale Crain, the main character of the movie and the Game Boy Advance game. As Cale, players will meet Sonya, a young horse. Girl and horse find themselves drawn to each other, both finding in the other someone whom they can trust completely. Over the course of the game, players will train, ride, and compete in jumping courses with Sonya as they follow the general plot of the movie. In addition to riding Sonya, gamers can also create their own horses using an advanced customization system that allows players to select color, name, and mane. Players can also complete against each other in jumping tournaments using the Game Boy Advance link. This allows players to test their newly created horse and see how well they're training it.
