Victorian Cottage Classic!

HEIRLOOM/FAST GROWING/SCENTED
DEEP RED "CLIMBING" ROSES

No self respecting Victorian garden could boast a grand entry without their guest being able to literally "stop and smell the Roses." Now you can add that turn of the century feel to your private garden with the sweet smell of beautiful Deep Red Climbing Roses.

ZONES: 4-11 HEIGHT: 6-10'
Full Sun-Part Shade. For fuller blooms attach growing vine to a trellis and keep manipulating it in a horizontal position as it grows (sort of zig-zag) up the trellis. Rose seeds need to be cold stratified (placed in lettuce compartment of fridge) for 3 months before planting, so now is a good time to stock up!

Seeds packaged in breathable glassine bags. Color photo and instructions included. FREE SHIPPING

HAPPY GROWING :)

Hi Jean...I actually have one of these in the deep red that came with the property. Unfortunately its trellis must have given away long ago leaving it to act more like a shabby fountain, which is also pretty but not as neat as when they're climbing. It always reminds me of my grandmother's front entry in the 50's, which was covered in them every season. As for growing...they need to be cold stratified 3 months, then potted and germinated in a very warm environment and then, moved to a nice semi-shady and cool location to grow for the summer. The growth time: season 1: germinating and raising seedlings in pots then cold frame for the winter, season 2: planting in spring and training new growth onto trellis. No pruning for the first 3 years of growth. Likes good composted soil and 6-8 hours of sun a day. Gardening difficulty: Med-Hard due to starting process.
