Description

The listing, Knifty Knitter 4 Circles of Pegs has ended.

This is a NEW package of gadgets for people who want to knit an easy way. I have never tried this, but I have been knitting since 1959 the old fashioned way. Personally I like real knitting needle instead of these huge plastic rings, but if that's what you want, here they are. Four plastic ring with pegs sticking up about an inch high. You put the yarn around the pegs and puill each row of stitches through the previous row. There instructions with it. The smallest circle has 24 pegs 1/2" apart. The largest has 41 pegs an inch apart. I didn't count the others. The first picture shows the back of the package and the fronrt is on the second picture. That is hard to see because you are looking down on the tops of the pegs and you can see the instructions. They sell more of these things in differnt sizes and even straight ones. If you think you'll like this bid on it. The shipping is high because it is quite heavy and I will have to pack it in a box too. Ask me questions if you want. My father made me a thing like this when I was a kid. He put 4 nails in the end of a wooden spool and I made a cord on it. Some other little girls had them too.

Do you have the hook? It usually has a purple handle. If not...they can be bought at WalMart or Hobby Lobby, around $2.00. Thanks for listing this iem. I am looking for a set. Thanks

I can see a needle but no hook. There are some sheets of paper instructions and they make it hard to see. I haven't opened the plastic bag so it is only what I can see through it.

Could you lower the shipping? If you shipped it parcel post it would probably be around $6.00. Just asking because I would love to bid but very tight on money due to not being able to work.

Hi, I don't work either and have very little money. That's a universal problem. In order to send by UPS I'd have to dr4ive 10 miles to another town. With gas so high it would be the same thing in the end.

I am glad to hear your comments as a happy user of this. I have seen these in the store for a lot of money! I was never interested in buying one as I have been knitting the old fashioned way for 60 + years and am too old to change. I got this with some other stuff so I am offering to those who want to do it this way. The instuctions for making hats are included, but she is rigtht and you can deo many other things with it. A stocking is the same as a hat but longer so how harde is that to figure? A scarf is the same except you make even longer and don't have to close the end. It is a double layer scarf and really warm. You can use any crochet hook to pull the stitches up and over. One was notincluded. In my picture here I am wearing a sweater coat made the old fashioned way. I made it for my mom but inherited back. If you want to make a flat piece of work with these rings you just stop at the end of the row and go back the other way. It should work although you may need to twist the first stitch on the return row. Ask me any questions.

I'm a loom knitter myself and have a set just like there.....the things you can knit with them are limitless!!! I have done hats, scarves, bags, water bottle cozy's, all sorts of fun things and the best thing about them is you don't have to know how to knit to use them!!! Great auction, would bid on these if I didn't already have a set!! Good luck!!

You are all good fans of it. I can't keep it because I do knit the old fashioned way. Look at the things I have on auctions. If they are knit, I made them on needles.

I've been wanting to try a loom, but I also kind of don't. I knit "the old fashioned way (as you put it)". It takes some work, but when you're done, you're proud. Looms just kind of seem like a shortcut. I'm watching this though. I may decide to get it for my 8 year old brother, who is really interested in learning to knit, but doesn't have the patience.
