Silver hand etched Asian inspired Filigree Cuff Bracelet adjustable cuff measuring 4 inches in diameter. Made from silver scrap mesh. The pictures really don’t do the piece justice. Please contact me if you have any question about the piece.

Hello Nice cuff bracelet. What is scrap silver mesh? Is the bracelet silver, plated or something else? I never heard of scrap silver mesh before.

Silver scrap is just like it sounds, its made from scrap silver that is melted down and then molded with some wax to create a lasting bendable material. The lady for makes these for me, cause I dont make them is an artistan from the philipeans who family business is handmade crafts. So everything they made is all by hand, its an amazing process. Its just illegal to label it a class of silver since they are smelting the item.

Thanks for getting back to me about the information, Interesting process. More or less it is recycled sliver jewelry. What purity would you think this might be? If 925 silver jewelry scraps are being used, then it should be 925 right?

Nope there is no purity cause they did smelt it, they melted it. Its long to explain but basically its all kinds of silver so they didn't purify it. So it does have a percentage of purification. So if you test it is a silver but not actual, cause it has wax in it. However its not silver tone.

Thanks for explaining. I am sure if I didn't know what you told me, and someone gave me this bracelet as a gift I would think it was sterling silver apart from the stamp right? I am guessing it looks and feels and weights just like sterling silver right? I just love the cuff bracelet, and I am looking forward to bidding on it.

Well it doesnt wait like sterling cause of the wax they put in it, but he offers the look. And yes other then the stamp, and the weight the silver dies rub or chip off. However, its still the real enough deal for handcrafted, that one bracelet took like 4 days to make. I know that might seem like a short time, but they take like 8 to 10 hours a day on each piece, so its a time consuming effort for those genius ladies. I sell alot of their items, and many silver items. Just not on here, I have my other sellers websites. Thanks for offering so much information. It is nice to know the process that goes into these bracelets. I am especially interested in sterling silver. I love silver and hardly wear any of my gold pieces anymore. If you have sterling silver, I will definitely be very interested. I will check out the Facebook site.

I just stumbled across Yardsellr last month by accident. I purchased one bracelet that I am still waiting on. There are alot of very nice things on that site. Would you be leaving Yardsellr because there isn't enough traffic?
