The listing, 10-Dollar Ebay Gift Card has ended.

My mistake is your gain! I've been saving up points on a points site for years, and I redeemed my points for an Ebay gift card...and I discovered that it would be complicated for me to use it, as I am in Canada, not the States.

So I am offering the gift card here on Listia. Now, I want to be totally clear that it is possible that Canadians can use this...I emailed them and asked, and they said it was possible because all you need is a "US registered Paypal account", you don't actually have to be in the States. Okay, personally, I don't know how a Canadian would get a US Paypal account, and I don't feel like bothering to figure that one out, so I am offering the card here on Listia, instead. As far as I know, you can use this if you are Canadian, but I can't guarantee it, and I put this on here with the idea that it would probably be of more interest to Americans.

This is what I was told - "To use the eBay Gift Card, you need a US-registered PayPal account. Only redeemable on eBay.com, when PayPal is accepted. The eBay Gift Card never expires, and there are no fees."

The gift card is actually an e gift-card, so it is just a code they sent me. I will send you the code when you win.

Hey, I had the same problem as well because I live in Canada.
I was not able to use an eBay gift code by an American seller because my eBay account was linked to a Canadian PayPal account.
Thus, whoever wins this should be American!!!

Well, this is a bit different. As I said in my listing description, I contacted the company that I got the code from, and they said it was possible for a Canadian to use it. They said that the person who used it could live in Canada, it's just that they needed a US-based Paypal address, which some Canadians actually do have (especially ones who travel a lot between the Canada and the States, or ones with both citizenships). Thanks for the comment, though! I wasn't trying to be rude, by the way, when I corrected you, it's just that I don't want there to be misinformation here on my auction!

I don't know why it would do that, and am really surprised to hear about that! I have been on Listia for many years, and have never eve heard of the idea that you need your Seller's Wings in order to bid on an auction. I am going to go and email Listia right now, and ask them about it, and I will email you as soon as they reply to me. Sorry about this!

Because the issue was brought up, I just want to address, again, that, although I was told it was possible for Canadians to use this code, I can not guarantee that, and I did have this auction more in mind for Americans. I did mention this, clearly, in my original listing description, but I want to bring it up here again, since there was a comment here about this issue. So, as I said: it is apparently usable by Canadians (and anyone with a "us-based paypall address"), but I can't guantee that, and I can only guarantee that it will work for someone in the United States. If you need more clarification about this, and want to read exactly what I was told when I contacted them company I got the code from, please read the original listing description, thanks!

Hey if nothing else if someone really wanted it and they had a friend in the USA they could always get it and have their friend from the USA send them the card value to their Paypal...know what I mean? Therefore everyone bid bid bid :)

Okay, I know why you are unable to bid, mikeski. I did not know this, but, to bid on certain auctions (such as gift cards) a person has to have either their Seller Wings or have a Level 1 Verified account (which is really, really easy to do...here is the info on how to get verified - https://help.listia.com/hc/en-us/articles/204561837)
