bubble wrap the hell out of it and use a flat rate shipping box or even the flat rate padded envelope. that should be the cheapest way to ship it

I wouldn't use a flat rate padded envelope. I won a jewelry box up here not too long ago that was shipped in a LARGE padded envelope it got to me in pieces. Just because it is wood don't mean it can't break. Please use a substantial thick box so no damage is done. Padded bags are great for light weight stuff definitely not for a wood product.
