The white ash tree is probably the most popular of all ashes for landscaping purposes. It is a fast-growing, low-care, multipurpose landscape tree that adapts to almost any conditions. This North American native is oval in outline in its youth, becoming open and rounded at maturity.
Exquisite fall leaf colors ranging from yellow to deep purple and maroon.

Grows in all most any soil, but prefers deep, moist, well-drained soils and full sun. Grows to 50'-80' with a 45' spread. (Zones 4-9)

You need to stratifying the seeds in a refrigerator, or place outdoors for winter. This process involves placing the seeds in moist paper towels or sand and leaving them in temperatures of about 40 degrees Fahrenheit for 60 to 90 days. After stratification, seeds must be placed in a location where daytime temperatures are around 85 degrees Fahrenheit and nighttime temperatures are close to 70 degrees. Seeds usually germinate within two months after stratification.
