Questions & Comments
I have the giraffe, and his name is JarJar Binx (: They are very comfy and cozy, and hopefully I can add yours to my collection! I've been using mine for almost a year now for my severe muscle pains and even for headaches and sores. They are like little angels!
Awww, he's soooo cute! I really need him for my sore muscles! I hurt so bad when I get up in the mornings, it's not even funny! He could probably help me soooo much!!! :((( I am praying I get him!!!!! :)))))
I have something similar from a company called SoothEz. Mine is a teddy bear.
I was trying to read the label that you took pictures of to see what this is made out of. All I saw was that it's polyester, but does it say what it's stuffed with, what's inside?
Not sure kimmie, it doesn't say anything on the package but when I look at other ones like mine, they are hot and cold. I don't see why you couldn't put them in the freezer tho. There is just wheat and lavender inside.
I got one just like this in Oregon. I loved it!!! But after about a month or so, the wonderful lavender didn't small so great. Wish I knew how to fix that without taking it apart. And you can't just put these little guys in the washer or dryer... :-(
The lavender smell on this one is intense, but then again it is brand new. I would think that the intense smell would disapate as time goes on, tho, like the wood smell does on my cedar boxes. It probably depends on how often you microwave it. I'm sorry your didn't last so long. Personally, I don't care if it smells like lavender or not as long as it heats up. But that's just me. Thanks for your input.
I found actually what works best because I have the same issue with pain from severe Fibromyalgia, is hot lava sand. Works wonders if you put it in a sealed cloth bag, then to get it hot microwave it for 2 minutes, but no longer than 2 minutes or the fabric will start to burn and set fire to inside of the microwave. I learned that the hard way when I lived in Hawaii. Lol. You can make them any shape you want, and even add the lavender, but the lavender will wear out after a while...
That sounds pretty neat. I bet it would work well. I wonder if my sister could bring some back from her next trip to Hawaii..I doubt it, they're pretty strict about what you bring back from Hawaii.
Well, they are a little. She will need to get dry lava sand from a black sand beach. If she hides it in something in her checked baggage or sews it up in a big piece of cloth, you can change the cloth later. But she won't be able to bring it in her carry-on bags. If she does they will take it away. Because they are very superstitious about any lava or lava sand being taken off of the island. They think it upsets the volcano Goddess Pele! So tell her to be very careful.
I have heard that before. Also, don't try to take any of the giant avocados home--I've never seen such huge avocados! Laying by the side of the road for anyone to pick up..fantastic!
Yeah, I miss those. They were sooooo good. Seems so ridicules to have to spend 50ยข-$1.00 on an avocado that isn't even 1/4th the size of those there in Hawaii....
