How big is the bag itself? Can it hold a regular notebook?

YES it will fit nicely ,it is 13x13 without the bottom unfolded and the straps are 15 1/2 in.Please be advised the colors vary due to what I have on hand.

I sort of like the one you have posted! Isn't it hot pink and green? One close to that would be great!! For my granddaughter, who just started taking dance and she would just love this!! She is 4 and thinks she is a Diva!!!! LOL!!
