Those look like the dyed howlite that is sold as turquoise-like stone. They are nice! I just sold the last of my "turquoise" beads on Listia. No such thing as real turquoise now, it's too expensive, but these skull beads look just like the beads I had ... lots of nice veining. Good luck .. .I'm always checking out everyone's beads. Be sure to check out mine!

I have been doing allot of research on these since I listed them. And I believe you are right. I was sold them on eBay as turquoise, but like you said now real turquoise is so expensive. I should have known. I can't change my listing since it was posted or if I can I can't figure out how. SO BIDDERS PLEASE READ. I have not set out to intentionally decieve anyone. I am learning here too! They are beautiful and look exactly like turquoise.

You can post an update above, that would be more visible to bidders than your comment. I wouldn't worry about it, as long as they are stone (not plastic) I don't think your description is really inaccurate. Real turquoise is very valuable (the pretty stuff) and most is only available as vintage/antique. I'm sure you can still buy genuine turquoise jewelry, but I would think it would be difficult to determine if it is genuine. Buyer beware!
