I have a stunning Platinum, Amethyst and Diamond Ring. This ring is 100% REAL. There are three diamonds on either side of the beautiful amethyst so 6 diamonds in total. This ring was a gift from my ex-husband and I would love to give it to someone that will wear it and love it. It was only worn once. It is a size 7.5 to 8. I have no idea what the CTW is of the diamonds or Amethyst. Platinum is 30 times rarer than gold. The platinum has a natural white luster that enhances the sparkle of the diamonds and other gemstones. This would make a great gift for mother's day or even a gift for yourself. Actually angel they've stopped mining Tanzanite which is why it's sooo rare and is the ONLY stone to be rated on the same scale as a diamond! Definately will be watching this item and bidding later on on it! ;-) (white gold and platinum are all I wear).

I have a ring of a very similar design, but it is in white gold. I really enjoy wearing it. The color of tanzanite is subtle enough to wear regularly, but stunning enough to look remarkable. You did a lovely job photographing this, angelwhzleyes. That's really hard to do because of the amazing color shift from blue to purple.

in jewelry term, plantinum is abbr. as Plat.
Overlay means Plated is abbr. as PT.
if it is Plantinum plated, it would say Plat. PT, if doesn't have PT, then it's real

This is absolutly gorgious. Are you sure it is not platmium overlay?? You still have the time to take it to a jeweler and have it tested for free. You'll get a lot more bids that way to post the results . I would be one of them. thanks

It has some markings and then a couple of spaces and platinum.what would it look like if it was overlay? I am on bed rest and unable to take the ring anywhere. My ex told me it was platinum and I know it has real diamonds and Amethyst. It was almost 700 dollars.

I went to a web site and it states that if Platinum is written out in the ring then "So if your jewelry has the words platinum, plat or pt then it contains a minimum of 95% pure platinum. The rest of the stuff can't tell if numbers or symbols. But it is at least 95 percent pure platinum according to the web site.

I think the stone is Tanzanite sorry not Amethyst because it is a beautiful blue/purple and not just purple.
