Description
The listing, 1 oz. Silver Calgary Olympic $20 has ended.
Minted in commemoration for the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada. Total of ten silver coins were minted for the Calgary Olympics by Canada (also one gold). This design was released in 1986 and depicts the sport of Freestyle Skiing portrayed with a skier upside down in mid air above the tree line along with the Calgary Olympic Logo. Reverse design is the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the date and a small maple leaf. Edge lettering on the coin also.
Coin is a proof strike composed of sterling silver weighing 34.107g for a total silver weight of 1 Troy ounce. The mirror finish on the coin is stunning and I tried to open the capsule to get a better picture but was unable. It is in the original air tite that it was issued in from the mint and for as long as i have had it it hasn't been opened.
All listia rules apply (I can consider Canada on this one)
