Ladies and gents - lacking a forum for we listia-ites to chat, I'm putting a quick note on all my listings to make sure my buyers are informed about less scrupulous sellers on the site.

1.) Sellers have TEN DAYS from the close of the auction to mail your item. If they claim they need to wait for a certain day outside of that time window, they're breaking Listia rules. The ten day limit is in place to ensure they can't get their hands on your credits before you've had a chance to receive your item. If nine days have gone by, put in for a refund request - this keeps your credits in limbo and can always be canceled if the item shows up.

2.) Educate yourself on shipping times. Priority mail packages, for instance, do not take any longer than four days to arrive once they're shipped, even coast to coast. Insist on tracking information for high-ticket items like jewelry or electronics, as this protect both you and the seller by keeping an eye on the item's shipping progress. 3.) Leave detailed feedback once you receive (or don't receive!) your item. This tells other buyers what they can expect from the seller and makes a better community for everyone.
