I bought this set at a yardsale from a woman selling her antiques collection. I'm more into jewelry and parfume bottles myself. Now, I don't know anything about these at all. I've had them just sitting on a sgelf in my laundry room for going on almost 2 years now, the inside of the 2 cases feel like velvet, but I don't know that it is. One pair of glasses has an intricate design on the outside and the other pair doesn't, but the little pieces that sit on your nose almost resembles opal, the way it shines and changes color when you move it in the light. The other pair doesn't have ones, whatever it's made out of is worn.
