Questions & Comments
According to seller's own comments, the reason he cannot take a picture with his Listia name and email it to anyone is that he "can't because he has to show his dad that the listing is over BEFORE his dad will give him the game system." This contradicts his previous statement saying that his dad has already given him one.
Now on to MY research:
Seller states that photo is from his dad's eBay listing (which obviously must also be in Alberta, Canada according to seller's statements).
I have searched Canada's eBay and there are only FIVE listings for a PSP Go, and of these 5, there are only 2 that are brand new and the color white. However, to be doubly sure, I checked the pictures of every single listing, and no pictures match the picture used for this listing.
So, I then searched through the listings in the USA eBay, and there I found something interesting!
I looked through EVERY listing and found ONLY ONE listing with this same picture, and it is listed in Orlando, Florida. That is a LONG way from Alberta, Canada!
Could there be some mysterious explanation for this? I doubt it, but maybe.....
However, that is enough for me to back out and not bid. I hope this information is useful to everyone who is bidding.
Pretty much all doubt would be removed if the seller would simply take a picture of the box with a piece of paper showing his Listia name. Unfortunately he has been asked to do this over and over, and has an excuse every time for why he can't do it.
I really hope that the winner is NOT scammed and that this is legit, but for me, too many things don't add up, so I'm not bidding.
Do you know what the orginal purchase price for this product was? Is the box dented or scratched in any way to make you beleive the product might be? Was it purchased in person or online? Thank you.
Well I asked to have a pic emailed to me with a piece of paper in front on it with your screen name on it but you never responded. I asked you here in the listing and I emailed you. That should not be a big problem if you have the system? Please respond. Thank you.
To all potential bidders, here is a recap of the story this seller has given piece by piece through his replies, AND some information I have found out by doing my OWN research:
Seller says:
1. the item is being sold from Alberta, Canada, and
2. his dad/stepdad is selling another one of these on eBay and that he got the picture from his dad's listing, and
3. his dad/stepdad has GIVEN him one to put on Listia
what i do not get is if you do not like your step dad... why would he give you something like this? and you also stated that you have a few of these, and at first you said you had one listed on ebay and one listed here, then you changed it to your step dad. ???? my mom wants this, but i do not think it would be a wise bid. I meen i have something else better to bid on, rather than wait 10 days and then have to request my pts back!. i meen if you have nothing better to do w/ them bid ppk bid... but dnt be suprised if you find yourself hitting refund credits in 10 days!
sory mom i would bid, but i really dnt like the looks of this one. ill get my bag and well get you one of these later. or maybe we can find a ds (one that we will actually get!!! unlike the last one!).
you have buyer pays shipping checked though, but if you email listia through the contact link at the bottom of the page they will be able to change that so it show up without people having to click on the auction page and read comments....that will help you get more bids too! you could have edited it, but not after someone bids...nice auction, you don't happen to have a black one do you : ) ?
