The listing, BOX OF ANTIQUE OLD GOLD TRINKETS has ended.

I got these at an estate sale over 20 years ago. The ring is marked 12kt Gold Shel. None of the other pieces are marked. The box they are in is marked old gold trinkets. These are some really old pieces.

HI NICE AUCTION< some very unique items you have..... Just a quick note on that ring, I believe it says "Gold Smelt" I have seen one similiar to it a long time ago, Gold nuggets are smelted (melted down to seperate the gold from other minerals and ores)... This step can be taken further with acids to make the gold 99% pure, which this ring is probably not. It contains gold, for sure, but most likely has copper, platinum, and silver along with the gold. "Smelted" jewelry is not as pure as say 10K, 14K, and 18K.... which have all been refined down to make the gold more pure, and to remove the other impurities.....Hope this helps with your auction, Fanned and watching this for sure. I could be wrong but to me it looks like the ring is marked 1/20 12k. which means its gold filled.
