Since 1983 i have used prismacolor colored pencils. i know they're expensive but they blend smoothly and the colors are brilliant.
i do use other mediums and other brands but they are second to none!
ask any artist which brand they prefer and i would bet prismacolor flys out of their mouth. these are sanford brands and have been in the art business for over 75 years.

these are thick leads with a soft core and hard to break.
these are the best for blending and shading no doubt.
the pigments are rich and colorful.
in many of my coloring book listings i always say to invest in the best if you're a serious colorer.
i can attest to this because i use them.
