Is there a way u can take it to best buy and ask them if it's the battery or LCD? I don't wanna end up buying a new battery and that isn't the actual problem.

taking it to a phone shop would be your best bet ,most likely can find it on ebay or online.It is old so most probably wouldn't carry it in stores
