The listing, 2 Antique Victorian Tintype Tin Type Photographs of a Husband and Wife Matted and Framed has ended.

Up for consideration are two antique photographs dating from 1865-1875 of a young husband and wife. The images are nice and clear, but the glass needs a bit of cleaning. Both are housed in period brass mattes and frames that are in good condition. These tintypes are 150 years old! They would make a great addition to a collection or perhaps a great start of a collection.

Are the specks of discoloration on the inside or outside of the glass? In other words, would I have to take the pieces apart to clean the glass?

Thanks so much for your interest in these fine photos. There are a few small darker spots on the tintypes themselves. Any other specks are indeed on the underside of the glass. It's pretty simple to take t he frame pieces apart, but I would be happy to clean them for the winner before I ship.
