Another gorgeous ladies ring says 10kt inside & has lavender or pale purple & clear gem stones ?? all prong set ,i have wore this ring several times only and everyone always loved & commented on it it is just 1/2 size to large for me & to pretty to just keep in my drawer, as i still have to many others and only wear when i go somewhere like the store or post office lol.or christmas ,mothers day, maybe my birthday.but not this year i was sick ,darn. thanks for viewing my listing. rhinestones lori

I have several listed that are stamped 10kt and if the magnet doesn't stick suppose to be gold. and these were sold to me from e-bay several years ago.so i presume they are gold.i sell most of my antique custom jewelry on e-bay,and nothing much is selling there so decided to try this for awhile. they really are beautiful. but i really only wear my diamonds the family bought me any more. Lori

The magnet test is not conclusive I'm sorry to say. Gold and silver are not the only metals that don't cling to a magnet. I have had a number of goldtone items that did not cling to a magnet at all,but turned out not to be real gold. It's possible that yours may still be real though, but the magnet test is only the initial test. Did you buy the ring from a seller other than one from China? The China ones are usually fake.
