MicroSD, FTP, NAS & NVR Storage
In addition to Amcrest Cloud, the Amcrest ProHD camera can also record locally to a MicroSD card (not included), an FTP server, a NAS, onto your local computer, or to any Amcrest NVR (not included). You'll have full control over your recordings and can manage them however you'd like.

am i understanding that there is 4hrs of free storage with the app without paying a subscription fee or can will the app record directly to a local sd card without using the cloud at all

I never used this so im not possitive.. Let me do dome research on that.. But everything above came straight from t g e website do hopefully i find something else...
