European travelers visiting this village in the Rocky Mountains were reminded of a Swiss village. Ouray was settled in the 1890s and named for the Ute Chief Ouray, which is detailed on the reverse of the top card.
The bottom card mentions "spectacular scenery such as Box Canyon, Bear Creek Falls, Engineer Mt. and the famous Million Dollar Highway."
