Following you? I doubt that. It is called a proxy bid. If someone sees something they really want , say for 499 credits, they can bid way high, say 50,000 credits. so every time you place a bid that is less than their high proxy bid, the high bidder stays winning until someone goes over their max proxy bid. happens all the time

no i had the high bid so they bid over me i came back because i got a notice that someone overbid so i bid again and when i do then she continued to bid

she doesn't even have to be there to over bid you if you bid less than her high bid. It automatically moves higher than yours if her high bid is a lot high than your high bid. if bid starts at 499....she places a bid of 30,000 points, it starts her bid at 499. you see that bid because only she know what her high bid is, you place a bid higher than 499, let's say 600 credits...since her high bid is 30,000 credits a proxy bid automatically over rides and jumps right over your bid of 600. Understand? no one is there watching you, it is all done automatically by using a proxy bid.
