I used this phone for 2 months waiting on straight talk to come out with the android it works really well except for at my house where the reception stinks. net10 will send you a new sim card or you can use your carrier's sim card it does not have wifi but you can use the 3g if activated.

I don't really know how to tell what it will take I just know it does have a spot for a sim card and a spot for a micro sd card. It won't cost you anything but credits to find out and if all else fails it makes a nice mp3 player.
