The listing, 1859 copper nickel Indian head penny US small cent tougher date has ended.

This is for an 1859 copper nickel ihp

The date is clear, and you'll also notice that there is no shield above the wreath, so there is no doubt what year this is. First Indian head penny year, and only one without the shield

Drawback is that I think it was a metal detector find

Instead of the shiny green patina, this made a dark thick patina. I know of ways to make this look nice, from my ancient coin days, but since it's an American coin, I didn't touch it

Would still make a great filler, or possibly an upgrade. It was an upgrade for me for awhile, until I got a nice fine example.

Not aware of any counterfeits;,but I'll include a note guaranteeing that this is an authentic 1859 copper nickel Indian head penny. If anyone wants better pics, send me your email. I can't update, so that's the only way I can show you better pics. When I take the pics and upload them, they look great, but seems like a lot get distorted or darkened when it goes to auction. I'll check the auction itself once posted in the future, for better pics. Thanks.
The date is very clear. The heavy patina is just obscuring the details. But this is a 1859 CN ihp :)
