1996 is when the copyright for the yugioh name was made the card's did not come out until 2000 and they came to the us in 2001 because they renew the copyright on time each year the date has not changed if they dident renew it the date would change to the most recent year they did same thing with websites and video games example listias copyright is 2016 at the bottom of the website page very nice card tho fanned and bidding
