Its perfect for that type of thing. Ive seen some people get like 50 of these, and give them to everyone in the wedding. The guests I mean. Then everyone records whats going on from their point of view and different conversations and fun things, then turn them all in at the end of the evening. Then the bridge/groom take them all to CVS, and have them all put on DVD's. Then you take them home and store a back up of the videos on your hard drive or thumb drives, and I had one friend take clips from each of the videos and make one cool mini dvd wedding video about 5-10 minutes long, with music, and the music would fade low when people were talking or telling jokes, or giving a toast. It was really neat. And anyone can edit together videos to make a cool video clip now a days, theres lots of software out to do it. Then post it on Facebook and send the link to your friends and family to see.

I think its great for something where you want to just record some clips of a party, wedding, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc, and want to leave it to someone else to put it on a DVD for you. Then you can take the dvd and email people videos. And its something I havent seen on this site before, and im sure it will go cheap too, so thats even better.

I see alot of people doing the disposable camera for each guest thing, its very common on weddings now a days. It also provides a perspective that a photographer will never be able to pick up. Its alot more real when your friends are taking the pics. You just leave one of these on every table, and every person at the table can take turns doing video and pics. Or put one of these video recorders, and one disposable kodak camera at every table. You'll have enough footage and pics to edit yourself a dozen nice videos. Good luck!
