I think I should mention two facts that not everyone knows about steam:

a) Most of this games have collectible trading cards, which you can gain playing games and sell it later - to get $$$ which you can spend for other steam games. In this case it will bring you around $10+

oh, I think I understand what is wrong :) Steam have internal market, in which you can sell trading cards. Most of this games have this cards, they fall randomly and can be differently priced (i.e. foil cards could be priced even more than 5$ along, but mostly, common cards priced 0.04 per one, and foul around 1$). It is impossible to sell 10$ card, because only owner of this games can have cards from them (an it takes fome time to get them, not less than 2 hours per game, around 6 hours to get all cards). Most games give from 3 to 8 cards, each differently priced. Using simple math we can calculate aproximate cards value. Let's asume that 35 games will give 4 cards, with average price 0.06$ which will be 140 + it is around 5% chance to get foil cards, so it should be at least 7 foil cards, let's take cheapest one with price $0.35, which will be 133*$0.06+6*0.35=$7.98+$2.1=$10.08. This is very rude numbers, since you can be reaaly unlucky and get only cheap cards, or super lucky and get foil card that priced $25 along. Anyway the main idea is it is impossible to forecast what you will get from trading all cards, but it should be around $10 rudely.

you may check price and amount of cards in game with this site (http://steam.tools/cards/) - keep in mind that only 50% of cards drops from a game (round up: 5 cards means you will get 3) and they don't have foil cards price (only common ones). Foil card can have up to 100 times more than common card in price.
