This auction is for 2 collectible TY Beanie Buddies! The red one is a Canadian Buddy, who was displayed & unfortunately, lost his name tag & the Red, White & Blue one is an American Buddy, named Spangle & he's brand new!

My son, Dawson thought that it would be a nice idea to put these two Buddies together since we are Canadian & we've made soo many new friends on Listia that are American! I liked his idea soo here that are!

Well I guess I'm a tutor of sorts,I teach computer basics to seniors and also Ubuntu Basics to a few of the students at Laurier University out of a computer/cell phone repair store that a friend runs. I don't charge anything for it and my friend in the store is helping me set up a group in a local senior residence. I love my job :)

I was hoping you would:) It's an open source alternative to windows. Completely free and available to anyone. it can be used to replace "Windoze"or it can be installed and used along side of windows,also all of the software is free as well and it does everything windows can,only faster and cleaner,and NEVER needs defragging and is safer as it hasn't been targeted by viruses or malware.

Well they and myself included grew up before the digital age and they are "afraid" that it's too complicated for them to learn in their golden years. I show them differently and I have to say the oohs and aahs they respond with are worth more than any money. Some of them have never sent or received an email. Now you can't pry them away,now that's awesome! Even the students are fascinated with what they can do with Ubuntu.

Thank you. I wouldn't call me a saint though,it's not entirely unselfish on my part, I really enjoy their reactions and watch them lose half of their age when they realize what they're capable of. The easiest technique O've fount is to first remove ALL the icons on the desktop because that what intimidates them most,thin put up just the ones they want,one at a time as they learn,soon they're navigating with ease. And If I could I'd enjoy sitting at a computer with your dad :)
