Description
The listing, Genuine Pandora .925 Sterling Silver And Pink Heart Glass Maurano Bead - Great Christmas Gift Idea ! has ended.
Genuine .926 Sterling Silver and pink heart glass Maurano Pandora Bead. New condition This auction is for the bead only-please see my other auctions for the bracelet and other beads. The darker image shows the Pandora brand name imprint better. Will ship within 2 business days of auction completion via USPS with delivery confirmation - free shipping in US (sorry, I can't do free to Canada, but I only charge the difference in confirmation cost) Will provide DCR # upon shipment. Thanks for looking and have a blessed day! :)
I have to list, then go back in & add gin, when I went back to add it, there was already a bid and I couldn't make changes to add gin after that. Sorry!
Pretty pretty pretty and always interesting to see a Pandora brand bead ... I don't even look at them in stores, the prices make me afraid, very afraid. This is a GREAT listing, good luck!
Amy, I just want to let you know you can ship this to Canada First Class for the same a shipping in the US, $1.71. I create the customs form online (just search usps.com form 2976), attach the two copies to the package and put stamps on it. I haven't had any delivery problems. If you want to add delivery confirmation you unfortunately have to buy that at a post office ... no way to buy Canadian First Class online (not even on Paypal, where I buy my US first class labels).
Thanks! It's $1.71 @ PO w/out DCR as well. It's just the confirmation part-per the PO, has to go registered to confirm delivery. If I sent w/out, would I get the customs info that confirms delivery? If so, I'll do free to Canada as well. The registration is $10.75 to start, so $10.75 and up. I get confirmation w/ registered mail to Canada. My concern is that, per Listia rules, I have the burden of proof of delivery as the seller. I think most people are honest, but I've been burned before! :(
I actually do not buy delivery confirmation because the customs form creates a unque bar-code and number that can be tracked, which gives the same benefit as delivery confirmation as far as I know. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know you can ship small items to Canada, under 3 ounces, for about the same price as small packages in the US.
It's just a TON easier and faster to fill out the customs form online. You attach one copy securely as the shipping label, then attach the second form on one edge so the post office can remove it and save it for 30 days. But you can't actually purchase the postage online, just print the label. Each label has a unique bar code number that I KNOW they scan, so I'm pretty sure you could use that to track the package if it got lost.
But I've shipped a BUNCH of stuff first class to Canada over the past year and they have all arrived safely. I think it helps to have that printed (not handwritten) customs form on the package. If you fill out a customs form in the post office, it will be handwritten (and just takes more time to go there and do it, than print it online).
Really, it's easy and seems safe to ship First Class to Canada. Packages over 13 ounces DO cost at least $10 to ship Priority (which includes delivery confirmation if you buy online, costs extra at the post office). But First Class is almost the same price to Canada as to the US (same price for first three ounces, $1.71, unless that has changed). I think after three ounces it might be a bit more than US postage, but my packages are almost never more than 3 ounces.
Thanks! Haven't had a chance to research it yet, but I will. I just really want to know it arrived at the destination and have some kind of proof. Especially with these, they start @ $40 and go up, especially when they retire. :/
Anyway, hope that helps. I know you are a good seller, and I'm sure the Canadians would appreciate being able to buy from you. They are always SO thrilled that I will ship to them for free.
AND once you create the form online, you can simply put stamps on it to pay for the postage. That's what I do.
However, I would hand it to a carrier or post office clerk to be sure they see the removable label they are supposed to keep for 30 days. If that label got torn off before it was checked in at the post office, they would probably return it to you.
So, it's a bit of a hassle shipping to Canada but doesn't actually cost anything more.
Also, I agree with you about delivery confirmation. I now use it for ALL of my US packages, but I can buy it online via Paypal multiorder shipping, which makes it convenient and MUCH cheaper than paying at the post office.
But, I still think they can and would be able to track a Canadian package via that unique customs label bar code. HOWEVER, if I was shipping something valuable to Canada I'd probably break down and buy delivery confirmation at the post office.
USPS is planning to close the post office in my little town, so something like that would be a lot more troublesome once the post office closes. I spearheaded a letter/petition asking them NOT to close our post office, and we got 165 signatures! I'm not sure it will make a difference, but if they decide to close it we can appeal, which will keep it open another seven months. *sigh*
Yeah, I just can't afford it. Also, don't understand USPS budget, but $10.75 to register?? From what I'm reading, there's no confirmation with first class, not seeing anything about customs information with first class confirming delivery at the address. I imagine it would confirm that it crossed the border, though, lol! Actually, even to India, middle east, you can confirm arrival at customs and can confirm it left US for same price anywhere. Concerns me the way the rules are: I don't just have to prove I sent it, I have to prove it was received. That stinks about your PO! I've heard there are financial problems with POs everywhere though. Haven't looked into ups or FedEx though for pricing and I know they pick up at the door. Luckily, we are a small town but we're close to several larger towns, so I should be 10 min away from a PO even if my 2min away one closes. I'd sure miss the girls that work there, though! :( Will say a prayer for you & your PO. I hate to think of those workers losing their jobs, too! :(
