Description
The listing, $25 Walmart gift card has ended.
Free $25.00 Wallmart gift card from me to you. Have fun shopping for the Holidays. If you don't want Walmart, you can choose card from Home Depot, Lowe, Target, or Kmart.
I called Walmart and they told me Walmart gift cards sold in the US can only be used in The US. I think it is probably because of different money exchage rate. So there is no shipping to Canada. Walmart also told me there is no Walmart store in Calgary, Alberta where you live.
I searched for bio_cratos so I can block her from my auctions, but I couldn't find it. Thanks for the warning. I am an honest seller. I guaranty the buyer will get the gift card from the stores I bought it from. My other winners got theirs. The gift card will be sent from the stores paid with my credit card. The stores email me to let me know that the card was sent to the buyer address. I don't send code; I send real plastic card only. With the order number I can track to see if the buyers got their cards. This is real auction and not a scam. I want someone to win and have a nice holiday season.
People should check up on the sellers' feedbacks to look for negative comments to determine the sellers' honesty before bidding on their auctions. Too much scams going on especially during the Holiday season.
People should look at the sellers' feedbacks and look for history of negative comments to determine the sellers' honesty before bidding on their auctions. Not everyone is truthful here on listia. Legends Lynda
The problem is that even WITH good feedback (bio_cratos has more than 150 positive feedbacks), I think some sellers set up accounts, get good feedback for a while and then pull a fast rip-off. Once you have your Seller's Wings you get the credits immediately, so it makes sense to get people to trust you, then you'll get more credits AND get them immediately.
I've seen it before ... been ripped off by another seemingly reliable seller who just disappeared after I won a large gift card. So, it's not always obvious (i.e. a newbie seller offering something expensive).
Sorry if I upset you ... but I have bid on this listing and will try to win when it ends! Good luck!
I just clicked through to that account again and it's still there: here's the link. You'll see she just got ANOTHER negative feedback from a very upset buyer ... http://www.listia.com/profile/77236
The best advice I can give to buyers is to ask for the real plastic gift card when you won because cheaters will give you ecard codes that are bogus. Plus ecard can only buy goods online and you have to pay for the shipping costs.
Yes, I filed a dispute, got my credits back (after sending Listia two additional support tickets) and have posted negative feedback.
Update ... Please check out my 21-day listing inviting all to share scam stories ... I even paid a premium on this to attract a lot of comments. Please search "scam story" and you'll find it easily!
Scams are going to affect a lot of people on Listia who are trying to win and receive holiday gifts. We are all on a deadline this time of year and I think it's TIME to circle the wagons, get some of these people OFF Listia (or at least warn bidders) and encourage LISTIA to do something about these people. Normally they don't even close their accounts, I have no idea why.
