Hello there. I am not very jewelry knowledgeable.... Will this necklace turn a copper tint after you wear it often?

Y'know, I haven't worn one enough to know. It is silver plated, so once the silver plate wears off it will be either gray-ish or possibly copper will show through. So, if you wore this day after day for a long time, I would expect that copper could show through. Most people just don't wear the same piece of jewelry every day forever, though, so normally I would think it would last a LONG time.

The good news with Euro charm jewelry like that the BEADS are what show, and mostly what touched your skin (except on the back of your neck). So, you mostly see the beads, not the necklace. Even an inexpensive, NON-silver plated snake chain, once you fill it with beads, you really don't notice that it is not bright silver.

If you have allergies to metals, however, this necklace could be as much of a problem as any other costume jewelry.

Well I got one similar to this for my boyfriend... I know it's kinda girly, but he treasures whatever I give him like it's GOLD, it's cute. Hahaha. But the last one I got at a store, it faded to a copper color in about a week, I was so upset! =\ I hope I win this for him :D

Well, if he wears it all the time, with no beads on it (and I can see that for a man, the thick snake is very masculine) the finish will wear off quickly. Skin oils do that to costume jewelry, and men tend to have particularly oily skin. Plus, any clothing that is rubbing on it all the time will help wear off the silver plate finish ... the silver plating is never very thick on costume jewelry.

If you want a snake chain like this that will never wear, you'll have to get him a solid sterling chain, and that costs big bucks new in a store. Check around Listia for thick, masculine sterling chains. I know you can get them on here. Honestly, if he plans to wear it a lot (with no beads on it) I think this one will wear out on him quickly too.

Oh, I will do that ... I buy a lot of gift cards on Listia. Having 60, 70 listings or more is very time-consuming. I really need to cut back and take a break for a while, but every time I decide to do that somehow I just can't drag myself away ... LOL. Good luck with your girt card!

hi there! fanned and watching. I was at the biggest Christmas Craft Show on east coast or so they say(lol) however wish I would of had a camcorder. It was euro charm heaven and I check and they were .925 they had them for 1.00 a pc or the better ones were 2/5. I thought of you right away:) Of course my daughter got me. However, I do have a question regarding the euro charms....if I can not fill up the whole item is there something that will keep the beads I have stationary? Thank you

Not that I know of. The high quality brand-name beads (Pandora and other brands) have screw threads in the center of each bead. Most bracelets have a screw on the end, and two more on the bracelet and once you screw the bead over one of those stops, it would stay on that third of the bracelet. Know what I mean? You can get inexpensive Euro beads with screws, but they are more expensive than the beads I have on LIstia, but I've seen them on ebay. And, other Listia sellers sometimes have them too.
