The listing, Syroco cigarette/trinket box has ended.
The Syracuse Ornamental Company (hence "Syroco") of Syracuse, New York , developer of the method to describe the beautiful, stylistic pressed wood collectibles, which is actually a heavy plastic like resin, circa 1930s-1940s – manufactured numerous souvenirs for events and locations. This vintage cigarette/ trinket box with ornate oak leaf pattern is about 70 years old, purchased at Niagara Falls in 1943 as a honeymoon souvenir by my parents. The original SyrocoWood logo label is still attached on the bottom. Felt feet are pretty well shot – but an easy fix.
