70 year old silk/satin souvenir pillow cover from the army post in Camp Rucker, AL Most souvenir pillow covers were sent home to sweethearts; but this deep purple one was for sister:
"SISTER Of all the girls I ever knew
There never was one like you
You're the nearest, you're the dearest
pal I ever knew"
Condition of the Camp Rucker pillow cover- the yellow-gold decoration on the front of the case has areas that have rubbed off and diminished. The rope fringe has one tassel that has unraveled in the lower left corner. cover is 16" x 16" with an additional 2 1/2" of fringe.
