Description

The listing, Semi-dwarf Cherry Plum Tree Seeds has ended.

This is a tester auction to see if people are interested.

I am offering one pit from one of my semi-dwarf trees. This is a Semi-Dwarf Plum Tree. These grow about 8 to 9 feet tall. They are self pollinating so you will get fruit. They grow outdoors in zones 5 to 8.

This is from my Cherry Plum Tree and lightly sweet with a delicious flavor. I love these.

These were just picked off my tree when I ate a some plums. So these are fresh seeds.

Why just one pit?.. How about five to ten. These are hard enough to get them to be viable. Unless you are running like a 70 percent chance of propagation it is really futile to bid other wise. ( at least for some ) thoughts?

I had been sending 3. However I may discontinue them till fall. This may be the last auction of these seeds. I am going through chemo and may put off most of my auctions till I am done. It is so hard to get them out to the post office to get tracking while I am not well. I am debating on taking a respite. To get good results crack the shell without harming the seed inside. This ensures greater success. You don't have to wait years for the shell to rot and crack by itself.

Do you soak the shell before cracking?... I am trying that right now with plum seeds... Good luck with chemo. Cheers

I do recommend soaking seeds for about an hour before planting. It holds the water in the seed coating for a good start. However make sure you leave the water out all night on a glass to kill off any chlorine in it before soaking. Chlorine is bad for seeds. Thank you. My daughter is going through it too. She has bone cancer and I have a brain tumor.

That's *****. I'm sorry. We live in a place that allows medical marijuana. Haven't seen a doctor in for ever. Hope you get well. Cheers keep growing!
