6 vintage Coby glass glittery stenciled Christmas ornaments in original box. Each approx. 2 1/2" across. No cracks or breaks. 2 red, 2 blue, 1 green, 1 gold. Ornaments show some aging, a few scratches, but are still shiny and twinkly with a retro vintage look.

Post WWII, many U.S. citizens still had conflicted feelings about purchasing Japanese and German products, as long as into the 1950's and early 60's. American manufacturers responded, being sure to mark their packaging "Made in America."

Coby, a division of Corning, made many Christmas ornaments. This box does not have a date. But the packaging, style, price sticker, (and having been alive back then - !!!!), leads me to believe they are from @ 1960.

Box is 9 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 2 3/4". No broken corners. Cellophane window is missing. Price sticker reads: Zayre $1.39.
