Please search natahoa and specify the jewelry category to see all of the Euro charm beads and bracelets I have on Listia ... something for everyone! See the photos above of bracelets I've made with these charms ... they look really elegant with LOTS of silver charms and spacers, as you'll see in the photos. I have two styles of bracelets listed, bangle and adjustable snake ... see photos.

Search natahoa and collect exactly what you want on Listia for a unique bracelet or gift!

SCAM ALERT ... if you are bidding on a high-value item, like an ipod or other expensive electronic or jewelry item, particularly with a NEW seller, try this ... google the title and/or text of the item, then click on images -- you might see the SAME photos posted with an item for sale NOT on Listia!

A moderator just informed me that an Ipod I was bidding on was copied exactly from a craigslist ad ... photos, title and text. The seller, drewjohn32 (block him now) was answering a million comments, had a sad story (like so many Listia members), and I thought for SURE he was legit.

The point is, YOU can do the same thing as the moderators ... google search for an item that seems too good to be true, click on "images" at the top of the google search page, and if it is a scam you'll find the same item being sold on ebay, craigslist, or possibly another web site--copied, unbeknownst to the REAL seller of the item, and posted on Listia.

I think this is a GREAT tip!

Listia simply can't prevent people from coming here and perpetuating scams like this. It's up to ALL of us to police this site ... the mods can't do it all (but they do a pretty good job, IMO).

Also, feel free to copy and paste my message above on YOUR listings. I think this will help all of us feel there's something we CAN do to cut down on the scam listings and avoid a lot of disappointment this holiday season.

Thanks, glad you like them! I only have a few of these so this will be my only non-GIN listing, but I have them GIN also if you just can't wait ... leaving in an hour for Williamsburg with my new contacts ... they feel better today than yesterday. I was kind of worried about the drive yesterday but today I'm feeling great!

I know, they are adorable, almost as cute as the dragonflies!

I have a 21-day listing running that invites all to comment on scams and Listia policies. Please search scam story and it should pop up in the search if you'd like to participate! Feel free to post a notice on your listings too.

Thanks! I have fun with it. Lately I make up the bracelets just to take the photos and then usually take them back apart. People often ask me to list one of the bracelets I see. I don't wan to list completed bracelets, they are too expensive to sell that way and I woudln't get enough credits to justify it. But usually I don't actually have the bracelet they want anyway!

Bidder ALERT: Check out my listing that will last 21 days to allow people to discuss scams. Just search "scam story" and it should pop up in the search. I've got to warn you, it got a little off track between two members, but I think if you read most of the other comments you'll learn a lot.

I'm concerned about the number of scams I'm seeing ... we are all on a deadline for the holidays and having to wait a week or more to get a refund on something you were counting on as a gift will affect a lot of people. The comments on this listing can be very educational ... lots of them to read (skip the ones that got off track) ... most are very focused on the subject.

That is just so sad that people would do that );

But when I was a new user I think people were less cautious as I got over 4,000 credits for my first auction...But they got their item from me, people still need to put faith in on another here and they need to be careful too -nod-

I LOVE to bid with new Listia members, because we need all the GOOD new members we can get. It makes Listia better for everyone. And, you often get the best bargains bidding with new members because other bidders are cautious. And, you do always get your credits back if you get ripped off. But I almost never send money for shipping, new member or not. That's an obvious way for newbies to collect money without sending anything.

So, yes, I agree. I don't think we should avoid new members, but I avoid anyone who is not answering comments, seems to have little command of the English language, gets angry without reason if someone asks a question (that's probably a teenager, I have two of them), stuff like that.

WARNING SCAM SELLER ... bio_cratos is selling LOTS of gift cards at LOW GIN prices and NOT sending them. I purchased two GIN from her. She never responded, then another Listia member warned me that she had sold at least $600 in gift cards recently and is not providing the gift codes.

I went on her MANY gift code listings and submitted a comment warning bidders about her. She has hidden them and blocked me, of course, so I can no longer post warnings on her listings but she is STILL listing gift cards.

This seller has substantial history/feedback so it is NOT OBVIOUS that this is a scam (i.e. not a new seller). I am seeing this more often ... a seller develops a good feedback history then pulls a BUNCH of scam auctions for gift cards. They get their credits immediately, of course, and probably spend them immediately.

Since I can no longer warn people by posting comments on HER listings, you might want to copy this warning for your own listings. Or, go onto her listings and post a warning like I did. I'm sure she will hide it and block you within a few hours, but it's worth saving someone else a lot of headaches.

Here's the link to her page so you can block her easily: http://www.listia.com/profile/77236

Update ... I have started a 21-day auction inviting all to comment and/or reveal sellers who are scamming. I even paid a premium on this to attract a lot of comments. Please search natahoa scam and you'll find it easily!

Scams are going to affect a lot of people on Listia who are trying to win and receive holiday gifts. We are all on a deadline this time of year and I think it's TIME to circle the wagons, get some of these people OFF Listia (or at least warn bidders) and encourage LISTIA to do something about these people. Normally they don't even close their accounts, I have no idea why.

That actually happened to me last week, someone scammed me for a toy I had won, I will get the credits back but, really the scammers are out and about! Thank goodness one of the moderators had your back!Love this piece too!

People get scammed all the time. You always get your credits back but it can take a while, and in the meantime you don't have those credits to use. At this time of year, people may be depending on the items they win for holiday gifts. It just stinks when it doesn't work out ...

There's also a lot of new sellers trying to start off with high dollar gift cards I've noticed, nat. They think they're going to get the credits immediately. As if Listia is that dumb, lol.

I've also had trouble with sellers that had a decent track record of 50 or more seller feedbacks, so it may not be a problem only with new sellers, but generally it's a newbie trying to see what they can get away with.

The troubling thing, though, is that the mod told me that they don't shut down the accounts of someone they catch doing that ... I mean, why would they let their account stay active? That doesn't make sense!
